S7 Airlines Builds Office Communications with MERA IP PBX
June 8, 2007
Moscow, Russia – (June 8, 2007) – MERA Systems (operating under the trademark of MFI Soft in Russia), a key provider of VoIP softswitches and session controllers for efficient management of IP communications, today announced that S7 Airlines, one of the leading Russian domestic airlines, has deployed a full-fledged IP PBX developed by MERA Systems.
S7 Airlines needed a reliable and flexible solution that would deliver a wide range of voice services and optimize the efficiency of the company’s communications. MERA IP PBX has been successfully tested on the S7 Airlines’ network and proved to be the best response to the company’s needs. MERA IP PBX will be deployed at S7 Airlines’ headquarters in Novosibirsk and will serve as a backbone of the company’s information centre.
MERA IP PBX features a wide range of highly demanded telephony services such as Call Hold, Call Waiting, Call Transfer, Call Forward, Multi-Language IVR, Conference Calling, Group Call, Voicemail, Call Pick Up, DISA and other business critical services. Due to its distributed modular architecture, MERA IP PBX provides a convenient communication solution for enterprises with a multi-site structure. An additional Switching Unit is placed in every office to manage calls inside the site. Therefore calls within a site do not have to go to the central office switch, which delivers significant cost-saving to enterprises. Additionally, MERA IP PBX support of SIP and H.323, transcoding and codec conversion capabilities.
All these features and services will enable S7 Airlines to simplify time-consuming administrative tasks, improve organizational efficiencies and reduce communication expenses.
“MERA IP PBX is interoperable with standard hardware of all well-known vendors – which is a key benefit for our company. For example, our network incorporates Nortel CS-1000 and Nortel Meridian 1 Opt 11, which seamlessly interwork with MERA IP PBX “, comments Andrey Pinskikh, Head of the System Administration Department of S7 Airlines. “We also appreciated the solution’s flexibility and a user-friendly web interface, which enables adding new users to the system, creating dial plans, setting routing rules and controlling the key settings of the system. We hope that MERA IP PBX will noticeably enhance the efficiency of our corporate communications”.
“MERA IP PBX provides a cost-effective means of communication for large-scale enterprises like S7 Airlines due to almost unlimited scalability and interoperability capabilities”, said Sergey Drozhilkin, CEO of MERA Systems. “We believe that with the help of MERA IP PBX S7 Airlines will offer its customers top-quality care and various client-oriented services as well as optimize in-house information exchange processes”.
