MERA Systems and MFI Soft present software solutions for Russian telcos
March 16, 2007
Hannover, Germany (16 March, 2007) — MERA Systems, a key provider of highly reliable carrier-grade VoIP solutions, announces its affiliation with MFI Soft, a 100 percent Russian-owned software developer.
MFI Soft's co-founders are Alexander Ivanov and Oleg Fayerberg — founders of a Moscow-based carrier “Komet”. Alexander Ivanov is appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors.
MFI Soft will focus on developing MERA Systems’ software solutions under its trademark targeting the needs of Russian large-scale carriers that migrate to an IP-based infrastructure. MFI Soft will provide carriers with Class 4 and Class 5 softswitches, session border controllers, lawful interception systems and enterprise information security systems.
MFI Soft will offer one-stop shopping solutions to provide carriers with greater agility in migrating to the IP technology. MFI Soft solutions will enable carriers to attain their vision of success, operate to the utmost of their capability and enjoy advanced tools for efficient management of geographically distributed networks and value-added service delivery.
The company’s ambitious plans are backed up with a world-class infrastructure, in-depth knowledge of the market needs and a creative team of professionals enhanced by a visionary management team.
MFI Soft expects to compete with worldwide suppliers and gain at least 30% of the Russian softswitch, SBC and lawful interception market. To stand out in the competition, the company will intensify its marketing activities and improve customer relations service.
“We plan to develop our product line along with fierce marketing strategies which will enable us to take up a considerable market share in Russia & CIS countries. In fact, efficient marketing activity is the only sticking point that prevents domestic developers from successful competition with foreign vendors for large contracts. MFI Soft takes pride in over 600 carrier-grade deployments in 62 countries on all inhabited continents. In Russia, 8 of the top 10 telcos control their VoIP networks with the help of our softswitches,” — said Dmitry Ponomarev, CEO of MERA Group, Vice-president of MFI Soft.
“Our solutions possess a wealth of competitive advantages. The most significant is its unsurpassed compatibility with standard hardware of all well-known vendors,” — comments Alexander Ivanov. “Russia-based carriers use our softswitches to ensure seamless compatibility with multi-vendor hardware and software incorporated in their networks. MFI Soft aims to show large-scale carriers that our solutions can do more — substitute various network elements and enhance network manageability, reliability and profitability.”
MFI Soft plans to utilize the production site of MERA Systems while moving its customer service to the Moscow office.
