MERA Session Controller v. 2.1.9 Release
October 12, 2004
MERA works in close contact with telcos to deliver market-best Session Controller tailored to the needs of carriers & service providersMERA Systems announces a new release of its MVTS Session Controller. The new 2.1.9 version is characterized by enhanced routing, improved call admission control and debug log capabilities.
The new features introduced in the MVTS v.2.1.9 include:
- Possibility of defining the maximum amount of incoming/outgoing minutes and the expiry date of service for a partner gateway. After the time or the traffic-exchange limit has been exceeded, the MVTS stops interoperation with the gateway automatically. The new feature is instrumental in granting new customers free evaluation minutes or protecting the carrier against abuse of minutes by dodgy partners.
- Enhanced call rejection algorithm. Calls in excess of the MERA Session Controller's licensed capacity are not rejected. Instead, they are returned with a special disconnect code message that allows them to be quickly rerouted via partner networks.
- User selectable options for log detail level. MVTS users can now select a desirable record detail level to define the volume of data included in the log records. The log detail level can be set for each gateway individually, which provides for a more efficient use of the system resources.
- Flexible mechanism for file rotation control. Now, along with setting the rotation period for runtime log files, the user can select the file rotation time. As a result, the desirable time for logs and CDRs archiving can be accurately defined.
