MERA Systems at "Voice on the Net Conference & Expo"
September 22, 2003
At the upcoming Fall 2003 Voice on the Net Conference & Expo to be held at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, MA on September 22-25, MERA Systems, Inc. will proudly present a family of its new solutions aimed to give an impetus to business growth of VoIP carriers and service providers.
The growing popularity of the SIP standard has driven the evolution of our most popular product, the MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch. The MVTS is a session controller deployed at the core of VoIP networks for enhanced routing flexibility, secure peering, compatibility of multivendor equipment, and simplification of network structure and network management.
MERA Systems, Inc. will present the SIP-to-H.323 conversion module, which provides signaling conversion between SIP and H.323, and codec conversion for the most popular codecs: G.729, G.729A, G.729AB, G.723.1, G.711. This solution is instrumental in integrating the H.323- and SIP-equipment into a single network whilst eliminating interoperability challenges.
Another improvement to the product is the MVTS Manager, a GUI utility for remote management and control of the application. The MVTS Manager is a valuable tool for simple and flexible administration of the system.
The growing interest of IP telephony providers in serving corporate customers has triggered the creation of two leading-edge solutions by MERA Systems, Inc.: the MERA VoIP Centrex Softswitch and the MERA VoIP Key System.
The just-released MERA VoIP Centrex enables providers to deliver hosted IP PBX services to subscribers over broadband internet and enjoy the ability to create individual service packages and rapidly add new subscribers. The MERA Centrex is a Linux-based application managed through a Windows interface and installed on an industry-standard hardware platform.
The MERA VoIP Key System is an "open IP PBX" solution purpose-built for small and medium business. The MVKS supports the H.323 standard and easily interoperates with a wide range of gateways and IP phones. It readily connects to the service-provider network and delivers fast and measurable value to SME customers.
Visit our Booth # 112 to see the MERA products. The booth will be staffed by expert engineers and managers willing to demonstrate the MERA family of solutions in practice and provide specialist advice on every aspect of their use.
